Well, got back from Game On..
Supposedly you play your way through the history of gaming, or so the tag line says.
Many of the games such as pong.. pong!
were broken and then stamped with 'coming soon' even though they had already been there.
Many people came to see the history of games and information on them yet ended up all playing Halo 3!

There was very little information on the games which were playable.
The was a 2nd floor which contained small amounts of concept art and text, like you mentioned that if I wanted to read text I could use a wiki page.
I had hoped that the 2 floors would be mixed and that one could play there way through an easily marked timeline surrounded by appropriate information presented in a better way.

Overall I think it was a marvelous idea that the creators went about the wrong way.

Also I saw a pretty japanese girl owning all the retro games and heard her speaking japanese to her dad so I thought I could impress her with 'neko o tabemasu' then I did nothing and went home.

That was a very informative review.
Launceston from the 3rd of July to the 3rd of October is having Game on 2.0 (just another bloody 2.0 gimmick) this museum exhibition is also one many people have said. 'It's for people who can't google'
I still want to visit it and maybe review it myself.
It's the world premier yet apparently it's come from London, don't ask me how that works.. http://www.qvmag.tas.gov.au/gameon/

Woaw! In my opinion, you did there a fair and clear review about the exhibition. Thanks you a lot for this great article, I will share it all around because I think your point of view is very relevant.
